My Little Darlings

For Christmas this year Grandma made the kids some cute outfits to wear for their Uncles open house in Washington. I just think my kids are the cutest little darlings. Of course they all looked absolutely wonderful around their new Aunt Crystal.

Wedding Bells!

While I was unable to attend the wedding in California, my baby brother got married on Dec. 19, 2008! This is his new bride and I am happy to say, new Sister-in-law, Crystal Roberts. Welcome to our crazy family sis, we are so glad to have you.

Such the Kisser

Bradly has a certain fondness for a little girl in our housing area. She and him love to play together and we recently learned that we will need to keep a close eye on them as they have become very close.

A Tornado in Colorado?

We will forever remember June 21, 2008 as the day we almost had a tornado in Fort Carson. There were actually 3-5, I don't know the exact number, of sightings of the funnel clouds and at least one touched down in the Colorado Springs area. Because I am so self absorbed I don't know exactly where, but I do know that when the "Big Voice" on post started saying, "Tornado Warning in the area" over and over, Deanna did not like it one bit. I, like a redneck idiot, ran outside with my camera and caught these cool photo's. Check them out.

Happy Birthday Deanna

Deanna turned 9 and got to have a birthday party. We were excited because she doesn't usually get the turnout that she did this year. They all had a great time.

T-ball

Blake has decided to play T-ball this year. He absolutly loves it. His favorite thing to do is to slide to the base. He doesn't quite have the technique down but he sure does make it look fun.

Deanna's Baptism

Deanna was baptised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Friday, May 5, 2007. It was a great day and we are so proud of the decision that she has made to be baptised.

Bradly Crawls!

At 6 months Bradly began experimenting with the crawling concept. Now his morning ritual is to crawl to the dogs and let them lick his fingers.

After the storms!!

We had about three snow storms right after Christmas. While we didn't have a white Christmas we certainly had a white New Year and after. Deanna usually can't jump high enough to touch the clothes line. But now she has no problem.

A new home for the Girls!

After Tasha chewed through her Doggy Crate, Georgia decided to follow her example and destroy hers as well. So they were given a Christmas gift of their own and got a new home. Now they get to learn to share. But their home comes with a wall just in case they wouldn't be able to learn to get along in such close quarters.

Christmas

Christmas came and went without any snow. We didn't get our white Christmas this year but the kids enjoyed their Christmas day anyway.

Go Trojans!!

Deanna has always wanted to be a cheerleader and this was her first go at it. She learned some cheers and a dance routine with the Fountain Fort Carson HS Cheerleaders and got to perform at their last home football game. She had a great time!

Halloween

Bradly was our lobster, Blake our rhino and Deanna was a pioneer, but the pioneer didn't want to put her costume back on for pictures. We were out so late on Halloween night that I failed to take the pictures then.

Blizzard!?

Blizzard (bliz'erd): 1 a severe snowstorm characterized by cold temperatures and heavy drifting of snow 2 an overwhelming number or amount

The snow was so thick that Ft. Carson closed it's gates to none-essential personel, meaning that only those who lived on post got to come in. The snow was gone in 2 days.

Snowman

Deanna made a snowman with the little snow that came in October. This was our second dusting and it was quite small. Notice the size of the snowman.

Tasha and the snow

Tasha was thrilled for the snow. She thought it was a new kind of food and couldn't eat enough of it.

Snow!!

Our first snow since we arrived in Colorado didn't come until mid October. Blake had thought it was so cool he had to go outside and play in it. Deanna couldn't wait to make a snow angel.
