It’s Haircut Time!
In case you were not aware, our family has a tradition every Memorial Day weekend. The boys in the family, 1yr and older all get their heads shaved. Not guard. This year, Dad was gone for Memorial Day weekend so we postponed our tradition till when Dad had returned from AIT.
To our surprise, Dad wanted to be the one to do the hair cutting. So we started with Blake.
Dad had a great time with this. As you can tell he required funky pictures taken during the process. No worries though, Blake had his cut completed and does not look like he belongs in Whoville on Christmas Eve.
Bradly, on the other hand, got to have a more creative hair style.
Don’t worry Mom, I will be shaving him in a couple of days. We just thought he looked so cute all punked up.
Our new home part 1
We have recently moved off Fort Carson and into Colorado Springs. We have a friend that we are renting a Condo from and the Kids and I received the keys to the Condo on Sunday, May 31st. Here is a picture of our Living Room.
A week later and I have been able to put this room together. Granny’s Tea Cups were finally opened and put a nice touch on the room. It is not complete as we still have pictures to hang. I have yet to decide how and where to hang things on my walls.
While we call this room the Living Room, it really serves more as a play area for the kids so I don’t have to harp at them to clean there rooms as much. Now I just get to teach them how to play and keep a room clean at the same time.

Bradly’s Little Twist
Bradly’s hair has been getting long. Dad says he likes his hair long. I tend to agree (though it will still get shaved for our Memorial Day weekend tradition) except he has developed a rather funny and disturbing habit. He walks around twisting the back of his hair. When I ask him what he is doing he says, “Bradly’s pretty”. (He likes to refer to himself in the 3rd person, btw.) This is the mild result. Often times I find him with a tight little twisted bun in the back of his hair. That boy is always good for a smile.
Bradly’s Picture
Bradly has been craving the attention lately. Every time I pull out the camera he come running to me saying, “Bradly’s picture”, and does a pose. Here is one of his cuter ones.

Deanna’s Birthday
Deanna turned 10 years old on the 16th. For her party she got to have 4 friends come over for a sleepover. They watched movies and had makeovers. They really had a great time. Here are some of the results of the makeover.

Deanna’s New Style
I have been very frustrated lately with Deanna’s hair. Her refusal to brush it every day and her fit throwing when I would brush it. Then, when I would brush it, 10 minutes later it would look stringy and you wouldn’t even know that it had been brushed. So, I decided to cut it with some style. It turned out super cute and she loves it.

Getting Older and Cuter
Dakota has been growing like a weed. He is 4 months old and look at him holding up is head and pushing himself up off the ground to play. He is just so cute and loves to give us smiles. He celebrated turning 4 months old by catching an awful cough. RSV to be exact but it wasn’t severe enough to land us in the hospital, just the emergency room for 6 hours while they did test to confirm the illness. The cough is still lingering but he is doing better every day. Nothing stops him from giving us his cute little smiles.
BLIZZARD of 2009
After living in Colorado Springs for 3 years we feel like we have a grip on the weather norms for this area. March started this year beautiful. I had to keep reminding myself that it was too early in Colorado to start my tomato’s from seed as we have yet to get our annual spring snowstorm. Well, on the afternoon of March 26 our snow storm came in the form of a Blizzard. (FYI, a blizzard doesn’t necessarily mean that there is a lot of snow just that you have times of white out and lots of wind.) As you can see, you can still see some of our grass, but take a look at these snow drifts. I don’t think I have seen them this creative ever.
